About the Role

Leidos is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join a high-performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a nationally significant and fast-paced cryptographic key management program. The program follows DEVOPS best practices and employs robust development, test, and production environments. Additionally, the program utilizes Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and test automation tools alongside a full suite of team collaboration tools. As the prime contractor, Leidos provides system engineering, development, test, integration, and operational support. This new program focuses on injecting new technology and adding advanced capabilities over the coming three years while continuing to support an ongoing mission and operational system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform software development activities as a member of an agile development team, including turning agile stories into implementable concepts, development, testing, and deployment of new capabilities in the complex system.
  • Implement robust testing leveraging DEVOPS automation and, where appropriate, use of test automation commercial tools.
  • Develop server-side business logic, client web applications, and user interfaces (UIs) using Java, Python, embedded C/C++, Java cryptographic framework, XML, web UI, and special purpose device programming opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four to eight years of prior relevant development experience or master's with two to six years of prior relevant development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Java.
  • Experience or familiarity with multiple technologies, including Java/JEE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, and Jenkins on Windows platforms.
  • Strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize personal tasking and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Security Clearance

  • Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JEE, SQL, application servers, scripting, and high-level requirements management.
  • Experience with Agile teams, software development, and secure software development.
  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and SAFe Agilest Certification.
