Job Summary

Cabot Citrus Farms is seeking a skilled Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring that all dishes, pots, and pans are washed and sanitized to meet hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including countertops, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Sort and dispose of waste according to established procedures, promoting recycling and sustainability practices.
  • Portion prepared food items as required in a sanitary and timely manner in accordance with recipes, portion control, and presentation specifications.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily based in a fast-paced kitchen, supporting the culinary team with various tasks.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions such as washing dishes and moving equipment.
  • Regular exposure to high temperatures from the sun, cooking equipment, and busy kitchen operations.
  • Strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and non-slip shoes.
