Key Responsibilities- Patient Care and Education
- Conduct thorough patient interviews and provide personalized instruction and care
- Develop and implement effective patient education programs to promote health and wellness
- Radiopharmaceutical Preparation and Administration
- Prepare and quality control radiopharmaceutical compounds to ensure accuracy and safety
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients under the direction of licensed medical professionals
- Imaging and Therapeutic Procedures
- Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, including scintillation cameras and PET scanners
- Perform imaging and therapeutic procedures, including computer processing and image enhancement
- Lab Testing and Quality Assurance
- Conduct laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Participate in quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care
- Education and Certification
- Valid certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Valid licensure in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch, State of California
- Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of radiation physics and safety regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and logs
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
