The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in voice technologies and systems engineering, ensuring that our communication infrastructure adheres to the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy advanced voice communication systems, including VoIP, PBX, and related technologies.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex voice system issues.
- Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and performance enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice systems with other IT infrastructure components.
- Develop and implement best practices for voice system security and reliability.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to ensure optimal operation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all voice system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have:
- A Secret Clearance.
- Over 10 years of experience in Voice Systems Engineering.
- Certification in Nortel/Avaya Tier-3 level support.
- Experience in installing and configuring government-furnished hardware and software.
- Ability to perform representative sample tests to validate system operations in a voice switching environment.
- Proven skills in resolving complex incidents and service requests independently.
- Experience in installing necessary infrastructures to support secure voice connectivity.
- Knowledge of voice communication protocols, including SIP, RTP, and H.323.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP Collaboration or Avaya Certified Expert.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
10 years of experience in Voice Systems Engineering services and possession of an IAT I level certification is required.
