Pouch Assistant (2nd Shift) Job Summary

ePac Flexible Packaging is seeking a Pouch Assistant to join our team in a 2nd shift role. As a Pouch Assistant, you will work closely with the Pouch Operator to convert high-quality pouches for our customers. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn and grow in the ever-growing flexible packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Pouch Operator with setting up and running the pouch machine
  • Maintain production standards of quality and effective run rate
  • Follow established material handling procedures
  • Check pouch quality continually during production runs
  • Inform the Pouch Operator of any defective material, maintenance issues, and safety issues
  • Stage equipment and secondary packaging necessary for production jobs based on production schedules
  • Clean and maintain equipment in preparation for the next production run
  • Make recommendations to supervision and management for improvement of production in terms of efficiency and workflow
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work safely around operating machinery
