Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team at Emory University Orthopedics & Spine Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide expert care to patients undergoing orthopedic and spine surgery, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing orthopedic and spine surgery, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with our surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical processes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience in an orthopedic or spine care setting.
  • Valid BLS certification and ACLS certification (may be required in designated departments).
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for long periods.
