Advanced Practitioner for Cardiology

The Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality medical services to patients under the supervision of, and/or in collaboration with, the attending physician. This role involves a range of duties, including medical evaluation, treatment, counseling, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and accurately interpreting test results.
- Develop and implement patient management and treatment plans based on assessment of needs.
- Coordinate and communicate patient care effectively with other healthcare professionals and institutions.
- Provide high-quality healthcare based on best practice and/or evidence-based medicine.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as appropriate and aligned with granted clinical privileges.
- Conduct virtual care services, including live and interactive clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of patients via our virtual care platform.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
- Participate in the research, development, implementation, and tracking of clinical management guidelines.
- Teach multidisciplinary students and physician residents & fellows, ensuring a positive educational environment.
- Demonstrate performance improvement in clinical care/outcomes, customer/service improvement, operational system/process, and safety.
- Utilize electronic medical records, maintain current medical record documentation, and provide documentation for optimal billing.
- Demonstrate financial responsibility and accountability through efficient use of resources.
- Perform routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients.
- Coordinate patient care and family counseling with public and mental health agencies as appropriate.
- Teach wellness habits and educate patients on prevention of potential health problems or methods of dealing with present problems.
- Provide occupational health services in the urgent care setting, including pre-employment physicals, injury care, and work comp cases/follow-ups.
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant with current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey, as determined by the job location. Physician Assistants must also have a current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
