Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at NDCP. As a Shuttle Operator, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering trailers of freight to various transportation hubs or designated drop locations safely, legally, and on-time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a tractor trailer truck that transports frozen, cooler, and dry cargo to and from various DC and hub locations.
  • Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.
  • Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to Federal and State DOT and Motor Carrier regulations.
  • Utilize and understand an on-board computer system (e.g., PeopleNet).
  • Maintain contact with the Operations department to effectively and professionally communicate any problems or delays.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle. Also responsible for the removal of trash at the store that was caused by the delivery (shrink wrap, cardboard, pallets).
  • Responsible for reporting any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A License Required.
  • Valid DOT Medical examination card.
  • Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with DCP guidelines for hiring.
  • At least 2 years driving back to back experience with a Class A license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • PC Literate.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong Team Player.
  • Decision Making Skills.
  • Flexible to varying work schedules.
  • On Board Computer System Experience (People Net preferred).
  • Ability to drive a 10 speed transmission.
