About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at W. Lee Flowers. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing products for sale, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide polite and friendly service to all customers.
  • Prepare products for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming according to company standards.
  • Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
  • Provide special customer service requests, such as special cuts and slicing.
  • Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, sales, and prep areas.
  • Maintain high-quality, freshness, and properly dated products available for sale.
  • Communicate temperature failures to supervisors.
  • Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
  • Assist in product receiving and storage.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Previous meat cutting experience.
  • Meat cutting skill test qualifications.
