Cheese Connoisseur

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Cheese Steward to join our team at Market of Choice in Eugene, OR. As a Cheese Steward, you will be responsible for creating an inviting in-store experience for our customers, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting our artisan cheeses and specialty products.

• Assist customers in selecting and recommending artisan cheeses and specialty products for everyday dining and special events
• Stay up-to-date on food trends and applications involving artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and specialty accompaniments
• Conduct in-store tastings and pairings to educate customers on our products
• Create cheese plates and gift baskets for customers
• Ensure the proper care and storage of items sold in the Market Cheese Shops
• Check in deliveries and log invoices daily
• Maintain a clean and organized Cheese Shop and sales area in accordance with Market of Choice food safety standards

• Possess a passion for food and a strong interest in artisan cheeses from around the world
• Have creative merchandising skills and superior customer service skills
• Be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Be at least 18 years old
