Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Consultant to join our Global Fund Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the strategic and tactical relationship with our Corporate and Institutional clients' Third-Party recordkeepers. Your primary focus will be on overseeing daily participant investments and trading activity, ensuring that service needs and expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and strengthen daily recordkeeping relationships for assigned book of business.
  2. Oversee the daily participant investment activity, working closely with Institutional Fund Accounting and Daily Valuation operations teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  3. Review company stock liquidity trades for clients and act as reviewer of liquidity calculations and transactions initiated by Recordkeeping Relationship Analysts.
  4. Manage rebalancing process for client portfolios, including the calculation and initiation of Mutual Fund, Collective Fund trades as well as associated cash movements.
  5. Receive inquiries from recordkeeper and partners, oversee transaction processing (including stock liquidity processing), handle inquiry resolution, obtain appropriate documentation, and ensure accurate and timely follow-up with recordkeepers and partners.
  6. Research and resolve complex exceptions and coordinate corrective entries and preventative processes.
  7. Communicate daily, or as needed, with recordkeeper and partner areas, especially client service teams regarding client account activity.
  8. Identify service efficiency enhancements, process, and service delivery improvements using creative and proactive measures.
  9. Work with recordkeeper and partner areas on client structural changes, including maintaining action plans related to client changes.
  10. Initiate periodic meetings with recordkeeper to review service levels and other ongoing service initiatives. Prepare call reports, as necessary, and communicate to service team.
  11. Coordinate process initiatives/communication with Client Servicing and Compliance.
  12. Act in a leadership role and as a technical resource or subject matter expert for Client Servicing and Recordkeeping Relationship Analysts.
Requirements
  • 4 or more years of experience with master trust/custody products, investment operations, or direct recordkeeping services with an emphasis on 401(k)/defined contribution plans.
  • Client service experience/exposure.
  • Knowledge of record-keeping processes, acquired through related experience, related to 401(k)/defined contribution plans including fund valuations, unitization, and investments.
  • General business knowledge, including fund accounting and client servicing usually acquired through coursework and on-the-job training, is required to oversee client transactions.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, required to identify and resolve account issues.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to changing business demands and client needs.
