Position Overview:
Center For Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to become a vital member of our healthcare team.

As an Ultrasound Technician, you will proficiently operate ultrasound machinery, conducting and interpreting diagnostic imaging examinations through sonography.

Your role will involve collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver a comprehensive array of screening, diagnostic, and interventional services, all while prioritizing patient care and ethical standards.

By adopting a patient-focused approach, you will ensure that all services are executed in accordance with professional guidelines, maintaining the highest level of medical ethics.

Additionally, you will be encouraged to pursue continuous learning to enhance your expertise in the field, including advancements in technology and new procedural techniques.

Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 3:15 PM to 8:15 PM, with no on-call duties or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Conduct clinical assessments and perform a variety of sonographic examinations, including but not limited to breast and ABI imaging.
  • Screen patients prior to examinations for any contraindications or precautions.
  • Review requisitions to understand procedure requests, clinical history, and any special requirements.
  • Utilize cognitive sonographic skills to identify and adapt procedures based on anatomical and pathological findings.
  • Exercise independent judgment during examinations to distinguish between normal and abnormal results.
  • Initiate additional imaging procedures as necessary to optimize diagnostic outcomes.
  • Analyze sonograms and synthesize findings with medical history, communicating results to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and colleagues.
  • Accurately document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Provide interpreting physicians with concise summaries of technical findings.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, gathering relevant data to propose alternative solutions.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the ultrasound department, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Operational Duties:
  • Ensure accurate electronic data entry and maintenance.
  • Handle exam billing processes efficiently.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training new staff, offering guidance and technical support.
  • Foster ethical working relationships with all interrelated healthcare facilities and referring physicians.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology Program.
- Active certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in relevant specialties.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Advanced registry in Vascular, Abdomen, OB, and Breast imaging.
