The Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Maintenance Aide to join our team at Donner Memorial State Park in Truckee, CA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of park facilities and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of park facilities and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist in the maintenance of park grounds, including mowing, pruning, and other landscaping tasks.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other maintenance tools.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff to achieve team goals and objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid California driver's license required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
This is a seasonal, unskilled position that requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The incumbent's work schedule will be from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, five days per week, but may work from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm on weekends and holidays.
