- The RN will prepare necessary equipment and assist physicians during medical examinations and procedures. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
- Additionally, the RN is responsible for observing and documenting patient care, conditions, reactions, and progress. The focus is on delivering direct care with compassion, excellence, and efficiency while adhering to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Nurses.
- Self-evaluation of practice in relation to professional standards, guidelines, and relevant regulations is expected.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited nursing program. The minimum educational requirement is an Associate Degree in Nursing, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience: A minimum of six months to one year as a licensed RN or holding an active Graduate Nurse permit.
- Licensure: RN License in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Graduate Nurse Permit is required.
- Associates with an unsuccessful licensure application or those on the 75th day following the effective date of the temporary permit will be reassigned within CHRISTUS Health.
- Certification: BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is mandatory.
