Senior Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Wealth Passport Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data infrastructure and strategy.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers, designing and implementing robust data solutions, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our data system.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver technical solutions, mentoring on best practices.

Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and designing solutions that challenge the status quo is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of data engineers and design and implement robust data solutions
  • Ensure the scalability and reliability of our data system
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver technical solutions

Requirements
  • Years of experience in data engineering designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient data platforms
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of data engineers, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in migrating on-premises data to cloud and setting up stable, scalable frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and experience in designing data models for cloud data warehouses and OLTP applications
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and experience with performance tuning techniques
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services, preferably Azure, as it relates to data integration/migration
  • Experience with Kafka and CDC tools for real-time data synchronization
  • Familiarity with BI tools and technologies for creating reports and dashboards
  • Understanding of REST APIs and how to use them in practice
  • Experience with continuous integration and collaboration tools like Azure ADO, GitHub, and Confluence
  • Exposure to writing UNIX/LINUX scripts
