Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will provide care for patients and perform all duties directly related to procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for screening, diagnostic, and interventional guidance in accordance with ALARA standards.
You will operate equipment, setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images per radiology practice standards, minimizing patient dose, and relaying images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with inventory management and patient scheduling, as well as taking on-call shifts as assigned to provide after-hours high-volume coverage.
All employees of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital will promote a culture of safety, adhere to established policies, and comply with all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission standards, and National Patient Safety guidelines.
Qualifications Required:- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
- No prior experience required.
