Job Summary

The Automation Technician will work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams to ensure the safety and efficiency of the rebar fabrication processes. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, algorithms, and techniques to troubleshoot and improve both the process and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Process, Electrical, or Automation Engineering or equivalent work experience. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in industrial maintenance and a good understanding of overall maintenance process and electrical principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Maintenance and Production teams to maximize the safety of and to maintain and optimize the rebar fabrication processes.
  • Use engineering principles, algorithms, and techniques to trouble-shoot and improve both the process and equipment.
  • Develop and implement future improvement plans.
  • Travel to other NRF locations to proactively find improvement opportunities and to help solve existing problems.

Requirements
  • Process, Electrical, Automation Engineering Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in industrial maintenance.
  • Good understanding of overall maintenance process and electrical principles.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of aSa software.
  • 3 years of experience in a reinforcing steel fabrication environment.
