Nurse Practitioner

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Unit, working night shifts.
Job SummaryThis position involves providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, and directing and guiding ancillary personnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong nursing judgment and be able to apply quality concepts and principles to support departmental and patient care quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
The estimated salary range for this position is $34-$35 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
