Position Summary
The Creative Arts Therapist is tasked with delivering therapeutic interventions through various artistic modalities, including music, art, and dance, tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop and assess treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with colleagues, patients, and families in alignment with our core values.
• Design, implement, and evaluate music and art therapy programs for diverse patient populations in various settings, including rehabilitation and outpatient care.
• Collaborate with clients and site administrators to customize therapy sessions that align with patient goals.
• Conduct assessments to identify patient needs using artistic methods and document therapeutic outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings to coordinate treatment strategies and share insights.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and therapy effectiveness.
• Stay informed on advancements in creative arts therapies through professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Education:
• Master’s degree in Creative Therapy or Counseling is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution is essential, along with clinical training and internship experience.
Experience:
• 0-2 years of clinical experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year in a therapeutic setting.
Certifications:
• Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) is mandatory.
