At Cortica, we are dedicated to providing life-changing care for children with neurodevelopmental differences. We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team.
Role and Responsibilities- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans using dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
- Collaborate with the team to create integrated treatment strategies and consult closely with other disciplines.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as co-treatment opportunities with other therapists.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and billing according to federal and state regulations.
- Implement play-based and goal-oriented interventions to promote sensory processing, regulation, and skill development in daily occupations.
- Facilitate functional experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
- Develop strategies to support individuals in engaging in activities of daily living.
- Work collaboratively with individuals and families to understand their values, interests, and goals.
- Design programming that considers all aspects of the child, including sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities.
- Contribute to program development and education.
- A master's degree in a related field is required.
- A current and unrestricted license and/or certification is necessary to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure as needed.
- Excellent clinical skills and a passion for working with children are essential.
- Flexibility and openness to learning are highly valued.
- An appreciation for various therapeutic approaches and software systems, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office products, is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information is advantageous.
