Job Description

The Staff Physical Therapist will evaluate, plan, and administer programs of physical therapy as requested by referring physicians and based on patient needs. This includes evaluating the effects of treatment at various stages and adjusting treatments to achieve maximum benefit.

Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate patients to develop individually designed programs of physical therapy treatment.
  2. Carry out evaluations, walk-ins, and follow-up visits as part of a varying daily patient load.
  3. Document patient information and supervise physical therapist assistants for accurate completion of delegated tasks.
  4. Instruct patients and family members in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  5. Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the company.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
  • A current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Duties require extensive standing and walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
