Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Mammography Technician to join our esteemed institution. In this role, you will operate under the guidance of radiologists and supervisors, performing a variety of imaging studies and supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare examination rooms and necessary materials for procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and disinfection of equipment and rooms after each use.
  • Administer general and specific X-rays according to established protocols, adjusting equipment and exposure settings as needed.
  • Monitor patients and equipment during examinations, reporting any irregularities.
  • Process imaging films in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and assist in determining necessary quantities.
  • Evaluate image quality for both analog and digital formats.
  • Perform general radiography duties as required.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • New York State license.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in general radiology and mammography.
  • Familiarity with PACS systems.

Compensation:
NYU Langone Health adheres to New York State's Salary Transparency Law. The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,785.35 annually, with actual salaries determined by various factors including experience, specialty, education, and institutional needs. Additional compensation or benefits may apply.
