Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider is a vital member of the Emergency Medical team, responsible for assisting the flow and direct care of patients within the Emergency Department.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to function efficiently and independently, while also collaborating with other team members to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat urgent care and emergency care patients in a timely and effective manner
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Diagnose and prescribe therapy based on assessments and patient-provided subjective data
  • Route patients to higher levels of care as appropriate
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College
  • Master's Degree as required by specific Advanced Practice Provider role
  • Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law and associated professional practice standards
  • Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Regular and consistent attendance at work
  • Current licensure as required by specific Advanced Practice Provider governing board(s)
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner or certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Emergency Medicine experience as a PA or NP
