Ädelbrook's Transitional Academy, for students ages 18-21, focus on life-long learning and life skills, and employment proficiencies through meaningful work experiences and community engagement.

Job Summary:

The Lead Behavior Analyst of the Residential and School setting will be responsible for supervising all Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). In adherence with the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board), the Lead BCBA will oversee clinical supervision hours for RBTs or those master level students eligible for the accumulation of clinical hours and preparing to sit for the BCBA exam. The role may also involve carrying a small case load.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of behavioral assessments upon intake and ongoing to determine functions of behavior and guide behavior plan development
  • Development and monitoring of data collection for assessment of treatment and necessary updates
  • Designing and implementing behaviorally-based applied behavioral analysis treatment programs
  • Providing clinical supervision for BCBA candidates adhering to all guidelines outlined by the BACB
  • Maintaining accurate records of supervisee's progress and training needs
  • Participating in monthly and quarterly behavior support plan trainings
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree, be a BCBA in good standing, meet and/or eligible to meet the BACB supervisor requirements, and be licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Behavior Analyst. They should have at least 2 years of experience developing Applied Behavior Analytic programming and previous experience supervising BCBA candidates is preferred. Additionally, they must have experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, developmental disabilities, or with behavioral challenges, preferably in educational, residential, or human services settings.

A minimum salary of $85,000 per year is offered based on experience and qualifications. This position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Current certification in First-Aid, CPR, and PMT is required.
