Nesco Resource is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in the Rochester, NY area. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project documents, accurately estimating costs related to labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

• Provide detailed quantity labor and material take-offs for all systems
• Review and assess estimating documents to ensure successful and complete low bids
• Identify and report on risk and opportunity/scope
• Obtain suitable numbers of competitive quotations and compare on a like-for-like basis
• Work collaboratively as a key member of the estimating team
• Attend pre-bid meetings
• Review bid documents with the Chief Estimator prior to bid
• Assist in fostering relationships with subcontractors and/or suppliers
• Assist in ensuring the flow of project information is maintained and documented
• Participate in the transfer of information on successful projects, including the job kick-off meeting

• Bachelor's of Science in a related discipline is highly desirable, with a minimum of 2 or more years of estimating experience in HVAC projects
• Proficiency in all computer software programs used in estimating, with particular emphasis on Quick Pen estimating software
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to professionally communicate the basis for individual work product in a highly stressed environment
• Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done
• Candidates must possess a strong work ethic
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results-driven, team-oriented environments
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
