X-Ray Tech Job Description

At SCA Health, we're dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional outcomes. As an X-Ray Tech, you'll play a vital role in our team, working closely with physicians and medical staff to provide accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of x-ray procedures, including positioning patients and taking radiographs
Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by licensed healthcare providers
Use radiation protection and shielding materials when required
Maintain and monitor radiation safety measures to ensure patient, staff, and regulatory compliance
Review x-ray images for quality and accuracy
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and clean, and maintain proper inventory of radiologic supplies
Liaise with patients, physicians, and medical staff to provide excellent patient care

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a radiologic technology program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Current certification as a radiologic technologist
Minimum two years' experience in a clinic and/or hospital setting
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
