Job Title: Mechanical Design Professional

About the Role:

MDS Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for executing basic- and detail engineering drawings from assemblies through detail parts, including sheet metal parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise technical information sheets
  • Execute detail engineering drawings from assemblies through detail parts
  • Develop designs for plants and equipment

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with an Associates Degree or Technical School in Mechanical Drafting and 2 - 10 years of experience with industrial plant/equipment layout (grain, food processing, agricultural, etc.).

Key Skills:

  • Strong 3-dimensional cognitive ability
  • Capability to read and create isometric and perspective drawings
  • Excellent skills/knowledge of SolidWorks
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Good MS Office skills: Outlook, Word, Excel

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year
