Position Overview

Role: Educational Psychologist

Location: Green Oaks, IL

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Analyze assessment findings and work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to create suitable intervention strategies and support frameworks.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to assist students in managing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Provide guidance to teachers and staff to improve their understanding of student needs and implement effective classroom techniques.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to monitor student progress and formulate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as necessary.
  • Champion students' rights and ensure their access to educational resources, adhering to special education laws and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Valid Professional Educator License in Illinois with a School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Proven experience in conducting psychological evaluations and interpreting assessment results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of effective collaboration with diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and strategies for supporting students with varied learning and behavioral challenges.
