Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger Accounting Manager to join our team at B&H Photo. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the workflow and productivity of the Accounting team, ensuring company transactions are recorded properly and reporting accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the workflow and productivity of the General Ledger Accounting Team
  • Delegate and prioritize assignments based on complexity and availability of team resources
  • Implement procedural and policy changes to improve departmental workflow
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial software system and financial statements
  • Communicate and interact with CFO, B&H departments, and external accountants as needed
  • Prepare financial statements for management reporting needs and banking institutions
  • Facilitate and manage the external auditing process
  • Oversee design and implementation of accounting control processes
  • Provide training and guidance to all members of the general ledger accounting team
Requirements
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and driving operations efficiencies

Preferred Qualifications
