Pekron Consulting, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Safety & Health Technician with 3-5 years of experience in Construction and General Industry Safety & Health. A bachelor's degree is required along with an OSHA 30-hour certification in General and/or Construction Industry, OHST, or CHST. This role is crucial in supporting our client's health and safety initiatives during the construction of a new facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive safety and health audits and observations.
- Develop job hazard analyses (JHAs) for various tasks.
- Implement and oversee the client's health and safety program for a designated crew size.
- Facilitate safety and health training sessions and tool-box talks.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and formulate corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance on OSHA standards, including fall protection, PPE, hazard communication, and more.
- Engage in safety meetings with project stakeholders.
- Maintain professional interactions with clients and project teams.
Project Schedule:
- This role involves a Monday through Saturday schedule, with 10-hour workdays.
Travel and Expenses:
- Pekron will cover all lodging and per diem expenses.
- Reimbursement for mileage to and from the project will be provided.
- Scheduled vacations from the project will be permitted.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Strong computer and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and working in various environmental conditions.
- Consistent access to reliable transportation for work-related travel.
- Willingness to learn and grow as a safety & health professional.
- Flexibility with work schedules, including potential night and weekend shifts.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pekron offers a competitive salary range of $63,000 to $68,000, commensurate with experience and credentials, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance and a matching 401(k) retirement plan.
