The Emergency Response Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons in and around the swimming pool. This includes monitoring the pool area for safety hazards and emergencies, recognizing and responding effectively to emergencies, and enforcing pool rules and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of all pool patrons
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid to injured patrons
  • Participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years old
  • Successful completion of an Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP) course hosted by NOVA Parks
  • Ability to swim 100 yards without stopping, and retrieve a 10-pound brick from the deepest end of the pool
