Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical history, current health status, weight-related concerns, and goals.
  • Collaborate with supervising physician and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized weight loss plans tailored to each patient's needs, preferences, and medical conditions.
  • Perform procedures such as administering injections, prescribing medications, and managing medical devices as needed for weight management.
  • Offer medical guidance and counseling to patients regarding injection therapy, behavior modification, and medication management for weight loss and weight maintenance.
  • Monitor patients' progress regularly through follow-up appointments, track changes in weight, body composition, and overall health status, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any pertinent communications with other healthcare providers.
  • Advocate for patients' health and well-being by providing support, encouragement, and resources to empower them to achieve their weight loss goals.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant university program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests related to weight management.
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' unique needs, preferences, and medical conditions.
  • Previous experience in primary care, health and wellness, urgent care or emergency medicine, or a related specialty with a focus on weight management preferred.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with empathy and respect.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with patients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of weight management principles, medications, nutrition, and behavior change techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude, professionalism, and productivity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to stay updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in the field of weight management.
  • Passion for promoting health and wellness and supporting individuals in achieving their weight loss goals.

The salary range for this position takes into account various factors, including the candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is scheduled to work Monday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Friday, with no on-call, overnight, or weekend shifts required.

This position requires on-site presence at the clinic.
