Job Opportunity

FAR Inspections is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.

As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity to earn predictable full-time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule.

While experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, the ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines is crucial.

Based in Reno, NV, FAR Inspections has been in business for over 9 years and has a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities
  • Verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
  • Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment and take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
  • Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
  • Complete a short form in an app and spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements
  • Computer with an internet connection.
  • Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage.
  • Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
  • Printer.
  • Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.
Compensation
  • This is a 1099 position with a flat rate per inspection.
  • Rates vary based on county and volume, with the potential to earn $20-$30 per hour.
  • Depending on the county and territory, you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month, working 2-30 hours per week.
  • Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory.
