Hotel Housekeeping Manager Job Description

The Point Casino & Hotel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Housekeeping Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Schedule employees according to occupancy forecasts and budget requirements.
  • Plan and assign rooms, work duties, and back and front of house area cleaning.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new employees as needed.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for housekeeping staff.
  • Prepare for audits and hotel industry quality inspections.
  • Evaluate employee performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Conduct and supervise monthly housekeeping inventories.
  • Approve and forward all supply requisitions.
  • Manage the Housekeeping department budget and assist with budget forecasts and preparations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 3 years progressive hotel, laundry, or healthcare housekeeping operations supervision and management experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of overall housekeeping and laundry operations.
  • Proven track record of team management, organizational, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent customer service relationship, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proactive leader with strong interpersonal, motivational, and leadership qualities.
  • Computer familiarity including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, payroll management, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Able to successfully pass a background check, attain and maintain a Class II gaming license, and obtain a Washington State Food Handlers Card.
