Job Description

The Director of Academic Success Center reports directly to the Dean of Academic Affairs and is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the ASC Grant. This role includes managing grant initiatives, supervising project staff, and ensuring compliance with project activities. The Director collaborates with various college departments to enhance student success through strategic planning, academic support services, and continuous assessment and evaluation. The primary aim is to foster a supportive academic environment that aligns with the college's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the ASC Grant and oversee grant initiatives
  • Supervise project staff and ensure compliance with project activities
  • Collaborate with college departments to enhance student success
  • Develop and implement strategies for the ASC grant
  • Monitor project activities and objectives to ensure yearly goals are met
  • Manage project budgets and financial resources
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial literacy program for Halifax Community College students
  • Prepare and process various records and reports
  • Represent the grant on all project-related matters
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Microsoft & Office Suite Experience
  • Experience in marketing, recruitment, enrollment, advising, and retention
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and independently
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in Project Management and Program Development
  • Minimum of 5 years on grant related experience
  • Experience in academic support services, first-year experiences, and evaluation
