Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Gameplay Respawn team on Unreal Engine 5. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced systems and tools to create a best-in-class gameplay experience for players.

Responsibilities

Design and develop major Gameplay systems, such as level traversal mechanics, input handling, and character motion.
Work closely with other departments to identify needs and priorities for systems you own, and shape the direction of development for key parts of how the game plays.
Evaluate workflows and ensure other teams can quickly and easily implement their work and debug problems using Unreal Engine 5.
Identify, diagnose, and solve issues as they arise, ensuring high-quality gameplay experiences.
Collaborate with multiple departments, iterating to ensure quality of the final product while meeting project goals and timelines.
Document systems, APIs, and tools, providing clear instructions and guidelines to facilitate collaboration and future development.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of one or more areas related to gameplay, with experience in 3rd person action games a major plus.
Proficiency in C++ and knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5 core concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and adapt to changing project requirements.
Passion for game development and a desire to push forward the state of the art.
