A career opportunity has arisen for a full-time, home-based premium auditor to join our team at RLD Associates, Inc.
As a premium auditor, you will work independently in the field, conducting insurance premium audits with various businesses. Your primary goal will be to review accounting records and conduct thorough interviews to validate the assignment of the insured's business type and associated premium.
This role requires travel to Vineland, NJ, and surrounding areas, approximately 3-4 days per week. You will be responsible for reviewing audit requests, prioritizing inventory, and scheduling workload efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing audit requests and prioritzing inventory
- Scheduling workload and making contact with named insureds to schedule appointments
- Conducting on-site interviews and examining records to research and apply appropriate manual rules and classifications
- Preparing written audit reports that include data analysis, calculations, and classifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated dependability and self-motivation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Pleasant, yet professional personality
- A two-year degree in accounting or related subject is preferred; experience in bookkeeping and payroll preparation considered, as well as commercial insurance expertise
- Reliable transportation when travel is necessary
- An estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location
