Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UAB Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing a variety of specialized services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and performs required medical testing, including vital signs, lab work, and X-rays as designated by physicians or pre-designated protocols.
  • Prepares and collects charge tickets, prepares patient charts, and updates patient information.
  • Answers and documents patient phone calls regarding medical questions, test results, and medication while in constant contact with attending physicians.
  • Performs a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgment and decision-making skills within well-established parameters.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registered or registry eligible for the ARRT certification in radiography.
  • One year of experience in a customer service or comparable capacity demonstrating ability to interface appropriately and effectively with the public.
  • Excellent grammar and articulation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical office experience in an occupational medicine or workman's compensation setting.
