Job Title: Lead Metallurgist

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is seeking a highly skilled Lead Metallurgist to join our team in Jackson, Mississippi. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory research duties in metallurgical analyses to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct quality control activities related to metallurgical, chemical, or physical testing to maintain company quality standards.
  • Coordinate quality control activities with other departments to promote the best interests of the company.
  • Sign-off for approval of job instruction sheets for the heat treatment or special surface treatment of parts or materials.
  • Perform metallurgical inspection of materials returned in conjunction with customer complaints.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in quality, design engineering dealing with complex assembly products or a technical field working with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, TS16949).
  • Experience working under Federal Aviation Administration regulations for Repair Station work.
