Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Youth Basketball Official to join our team at the City of Appleton, WI. As a key member of our Parks and Recreation Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our youth basketball program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce game rules and regulations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Supervise and control the general conduct of players, coaches, and spectators.
  • Make decisions on situations or occurrences not specifically addressed in the rules.
  • Maintain a positive environment through encouraging interactions with coaches, players, and spectators.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of basketball rules and regulations.
  • Ability to execute common officiating skills and techniques.
  • Ability to positively supervise and control the game atmosphere.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, coaches, and the public.
Working Conditions

This is a seasonal position with the City of Appleton, WI. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.
