Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns and promote patient well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement discharge plans to ensure patients receive necessary support and resources.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on mental health topics and resources.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • At least 5 years of experience in inpatient psychiatric or mental health settings, with a focus on working with patients with major mental illness, dementia, and/or the elderly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
