Histology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Histology Technologist to join our team at HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services. As a Histology Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of histology and cytology procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform histology and cytology procedures, including specimen processing, fixation, cell block preparation, embedding, microtomy, slide preparation, routine stains, IHC, and special stains.
- Assure positive sample, block, and slide identification.
- Prepare and maintain reagents for routine stains and histology procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and instrumentation per manufacturer and department procedures.
- Utilize independent judgment and problem-solving skills to ensure the accuracy of procedures performed and proper equipment performance.
- High School Diploma and minimum two years of histology experience.
- OR High School Diploma and completion of an accredited program in Histotechnology.
- OR Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, and one year of histology experience.
- OR Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry.
- National Certification as a MT (ASCP) or HT (ASCP) required.
- State license where required.
