Athena Health Care Systems is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Smoking Attendant to join our team at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich. As a Smoking Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing a clean and orderly smoking environment for our residents, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials, and transportation to and from the designated smoking area.
- Maintain a clean and organized designated smoking area for residents.
- Transport residents to and from the designated smoking area.
- Ensure residents maintain a safe smoking environment.
- Demonstrate correct safety techniques.
- Respect and care for facility equipment and supplies.
- Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions.
- Keep confidential any resident information.
- Contribute to positive resident and family relations.
- Follow facility policy and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to communicate effectively in emergency situations.
- Familiarity with drug actions and interactions.
- Knowledge of restorative nursing rehabilitation policies.
