Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Safety and Quality Initiatives
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance safety, food safety, and quality performance at our Service Center, including monitoring critical processes, data analysis, and metrics.
    • Identify gaps and work collaboratively with management to address areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate Training and Development
    • Facilitate and support environmental health, safety initiatives, New Employee Orientation, and training related to the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
    • Oversee facility safety, food safety, and quality processes to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Investigate root causes of food safety and quality nonconformances, coordinate corrective actions, and manage communication regarding remediation efforts.
  • Manage Hazardous Waste and Materials
    • Manage hazardous waste storage, monitor waste reduction efforts, and ensure proper disposal, labeling, and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Evaluate new raw materials for facility use, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory requirements by reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with each new order.
  • Investigate Workplace Incidents
    • Oversee workplace incident investigations, including response, root cause analysis, recurrence prevention, and follow-up.
    • Recognize and reward employee contributions toward improving workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with Global Team
    • Collaborate with the Global Safety & Quality team and Operations Plant leadership to enhance Quality dashboard tracking and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and Implement Sanitation Procedures
    • Lead the creation, documentation, and execution of wash machine cleaning and sanitization procedures, including monitoring, compliance tracking, and standard work instructions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in an EHS or Quality role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with sanitation chemicals and environmental monitoring/cleaning verification processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Initiative to work independently while adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain, with a background in customer-centric matrix organizations, preferred.
