Position Overview

As a vital member of our Diagnostic Radiology team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. Your expertise will support our healthcare professionals and the community, ensuring that we uphold our mission of promoting healthier lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct all CT examinations, including imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Operate computed tomography equipment and perform various technical tasks.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Adhere to established National Patient Safety Goals.
Qualifications
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
  • Computed Tomography certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Current CPR certification is necessary within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Effective communication skills in English (both verbal and written) are essential.
Essential Duties
  • Efficiently position and transfer patients while ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Utilize automatic processing techniques for film development.
  • Assist in the calibration and quality control of imaging equipment.
  • Administer radiographic contrast as per physician requests and departmental protocols.
  • Evaluate the need for radiologist consultation regarding contrast media administration.
  • Prepare for IV insertion for CT scans, ensuring proper aseptic techniques are followed.
  • Report directly to the CT Lead Technologist and/or Radiology Manager/Director.
