Job Summary

The Staff Traffic Engineer will be part of a dynamic team responsible for creating world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments.

Key responsibilities include completing traffic analysis and studies, developing traffic signal plans, signal timing plans, maintenance of traffic plans, pavement marking plans, signing plans, and ITS plans.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Quantity tabulations
  • QA/QC
  • Preparation of written reports

Requirements

This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving complex traffic engineering problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

A working knowledge of traffic engineering design standards, including ITE, FHWA, AASHTO, MUTCD, and HCM, is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
  • 3 years of civil engineering experience, consulting preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in civil engineering
  • Engineers in Training-EIT Certification
