{"Responsibilities": "As a Radiology Tech at Ascension, you will be responsible for taking high-quality radiologic films to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Your duties will include preparing and positioning patients for imaging, selecting exposure factors accurately, and preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. You will also observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity. Additionally, you will monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted, follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines, and ensure that patients are not exposed to unnecessary radiation. You will also be responsible for ensuring the prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring equipment is properly functioning, and reporting any potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel. Furthermore, you will assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other areas in the department.", "Requirements": "To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date. You will also need to have one or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
