Maintenance Technician Overview

Openwork is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in College Park, GA.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide troubleshooting support for equipment and process issues, working within available support channels to address the issues and maintain equipment and operation safety and productivity.
  • Create and follow a preventive maintenance plan based on metrics of Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) for all factory equipment.
  • Act as equipment "owner" for packaging of pharmaceutical products and Nitrocellulose Solution Plant, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Review and maintain inventory levels of spare parts, consumables, components, and other required items for factory operations.
  • Ensure PMs on all equipment are scheduled and completed as required, guaranteeing a robust and reliable equipment train.
  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned daily tasks, coordinating own work with others to successfully complete activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness in factory operations.


Requirements


  • Leadership qualities within the assigned department, with expertise in mechanics, instrumentation, and automation.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals, effectively present information, and respond to questions from managers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions, interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PLC interface knowledge is a plus.
  • Occasional ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
