Overview:
The role involves the upkeep and sanitation of both public and staff areas within the property, adhering to established departmental guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for the shift by gathering necessary supplies such as trash bags, gloves, cleaning agents, and equipment.
- Follow the daily assignment sheet to address designated areas.
- Sanitize and maintain public restrooms according to the assignment guidelines.
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and emptying waste receptacles throughout the casino.
- Dust and clean all gaming machines and seating areas to remove dirt, fingerprints, and spills.
- Ensure all casino spaces are clear of spills, litter, and food/drink items, particularly in high-traffic areas.
- Maintain the exterior of the casino, including stairways, parking areas, and hallways.
- Clean glass doors, mirrors, walls, furnishings, and equipment both inside and outside the facility.
- Manage administrative areas and dispose of waste accordingly.
- Execute tasks in accordance with supervisor instructions and established standards.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a similar role within a casino setting.
- Familiarity with various cleaning chemicals and standard cleaning tools is essential.
- Ability to maintain a consistent work pace to meet departmental timelines.
- Capability to follow safety protocols and instructions effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and employee interaction skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift weights up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment.
- Must be capable of pushing and pulling substantial cleaning machinery.
- Engage in prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and kneeling throughout the shift.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and endure the noise from equipment.
