Eminent Anesthesiologist

We seek a skilled Critical Care Anesthesiologist to join our team at MCV Physicians in Richmond, VA. As a member of our department, you will provide high-quality anesthetic and critical care services to patients at VCU Health, working closely with our experienced team of physicians and healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and teaching skills, as well as excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for providing bedside clinical teaching to residents, medical students, and other trainees, while also participating in didactic teaching programs and attending conferences and meetings as required.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing pre-anesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthetic care, postoperative rounds, resuscitation, and intensive care to patients
• Directing the activities of nurse anesthetists as assigned by the Chair or Chairs delegate
• Participating in research and educational activities, including teaching and mentoring students and staff

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold an M.D. or D.O. degree, be board eligible/certified in Anesthesiology, and have eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia and employment in the United States. You should also possess good communication and clinical skills, as well as experience working in a diverse environment.
